The upcoming game Mortal Kombat is noted to be the ninth installment in the acclaimed franchise. With a long line-up of captivating games that enticed players over the past years, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios now reveal the UK release date, new Mileena footage and reveal pack art of the new Mortal Kombat game.
Mortal Kombat is scheduled to hit the gaming arena in the UK at midnight on April 18, 2011 with the companies calling this day ‘Mortal Monday’. The eagerly-awaited title is slated to unfurl across the PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, the title has Mortal Kombat creator and creative director Ed Boon at the helm.
Earlier last year, Ed Boon revealed that the ninth iteration will be endowed with a M-rating. He disclosed that the new game would comprise of ‘sick’ fatalities and hence the application of the Mature rating. Apparently, the game hasn’t been rated as yet. Brawling fans as well as Mortal Kombat enthusiasts are looking forward to new features and enhanced gameplay.
Although the release date is revealed, the exact pricing details are still under wraps by the respective companies.
