Tekken 6 is the latest in the Tekken fighting series from Namco and a while ago the game was confirmed to be coming for the Xbox 360 in addition to the PS3. Now IGN reports that Tekken 6 will also release for the PSP at around the same time as it will for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
While PSP versions of games are expected to be stepped down from their console counterparts, the PSP version of Tekken 6 will apparently have additional content, items and stages, as well as an ad-hoc multiplayer mode with “original” and “fan-favorite characters”. In addition to these features, the PSP version of Tekken 6 will also have a “Ghost” Infrastructure Mode which allows players to upload their character data and download that of others onto their PSP systems so that they can compare fighting skills and see how they match up with others.
Developed by Namco and published by Namco Bandai, Tekken 6 is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2009.
