Street Fighter IV PC Getting Fight Pad Bundle: Capcom

Street Fighter IV came out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in late February and was lapped up by fans of the series, selling more than 2.5 million copies worldwide, as of March 31, 2009. The PC version of the game was announced to be released in the summer, along with RE5 and Bionic Commando. Now speaking on Capcom?s Unity Blog, Chris Svensson says that North America will get SFIV for the PC, bundled with the Mad Catz FightPad controller.

SFIV And Fight Pad

The game employs a style never meant for keyboard play, and so Capcom will include in the bundle, the controller and a Windows DVD of the game. The controller can just be plugged in to a PC having Vista or Windows 7 or even your Xbox 360, and will be a rare Street Fighter IV Fight Pad of Ryu only. Also, the blog hints at many future titles in the series.

The PC game without the Fight Pad costs 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,970), and bundled with it, will cost 59.99 (approx. Rs. 2,955). Given that both the game and controller retail for 40 USD each (approx. Rs. 1,970), and it is extremely difficult to find these Fight Pads being sold separately, for those interested the offer is something of a godsend. The bundle will be available on July 7, 2009 at retail, only in the US. Europe, Australia and New Zealand residents will have to order it online from what seems to be a very limited number of online retailers, one being Capcom?s eStore itself.
