Soulcalibur Heading to PSP with Broken Destiny

We just heard that Namco is developing Tekken 6 for the PSP, the game having already been confirmed for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Now, apparently Namco Bandai has revealed that the weapons-fighter, Soulcalibur will be coming to the PSP. Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny will be exclusively for Sony’s handheld console.

Gamespot reports that the game will use a lot of the “fundamental mechanics” from Soulcalibur IV which was released last year. Also, apparently the Star Wars characters Darth Vader and Yoda will not be making an appearance, but instead the PSP game will feature a new character named Dampierre.

In addition to the series’ Arcade, Versus, and Survival options, Namco Bandai adds a new single-player mode aimed at helping newcomers get acquainted with the higher levels of the game. This new mode will feature over 80 missions and overall, the game will have more than 20 fighters to choose from. We may hear more details on the game at this year’s E3.
