One of the best fighting games that ever hit the Dreamcast was Soul Calibur. So what is better than that? Well, Namco Bandai has announced that they will be bringing a high definition version of Soul Calibur on the Xbox Live Arcade. Soul Calibur on the XBLA will have the standard arcade, training, story and survival modes from the original.
The ‘versus fighting’ game will also feature leaderboards but it will not have online multiplayer.Namco Bandai did not give an exact release date of Soul Calibur for the Xbox Live Arcade. However, it is expected that the game will be released before Soul Calibur IV is launched in late July on the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
Yesterday, Namco Bandai had announced a shooter for the PSN and the XBLA, which was called as PowerUp Forever. It would be great if there was online multiplayer in Soul Calibur HD as there are fighting games like Super Street Fighter II Turbo on the XBLA that do have online multiplayer.
