The Crew gets a trial version that can be played for free on PS4 and Xbox One

Ubisoft’s open world racer The Crew has been blessed with a free trial version that lets gamers play this offering for two hours. This means the entire title is made available to them instead of just a small portion. If, following the trial period, they like the game and decide to buy it, the two-hour lock will be lifted and the entire game will be available to them without any more downloading of files. While it’s available for the PC and the Xbox 360 as well, this free trial version has only been released for the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the title.

The Crew

The Crew was launched back in December last year for the above mentioned platforms, and received favorable reviews for its offerings. It has been described by its makers as a role-playing racer featuring large-scale multiplayer elements. It was earlier supposed to be released by Ubisoft in November last year, but it faced a delay of around one month owing to extra time that was required for polishing its offerings.

The Crew kicks in an open and persistent world that can be raced as well as free-roamed on. This world is actually a scaled-down recreation of the United States, and hence features all the famous locations from the country. Its 20-hour long single-player campaign revolves around the protagonist trying to infiltrate criminal groups with an aim of uprooting a deep criminal nexus.

Like we said, the free two-hour trial of The Crew is live now for the PS4 and the Xbox One, and those who play it will have their progress carried over into the full game if they decide to buy it.
