Mad Riders Coming to PSN and Xbox Live on May 30

Techland, the studio which crafted last year’s zombie-slaying fest Dead Island, will see its next game Mad Riders being released by Ubisoft on May 30, 2012. Slated to be coming via PSN and Xbox Live, this title has been described by its publisher as an adrenaline-fueled off-road arcade racing game.

Mad Riders 1

It will have players performing aerial stunts, while racing at high speeds on more than forty five tracks that are set all over the world. A boost skill will be in place, asking gamers to use it wisely in order to score over competition. Tracks will even feature hidden shortcuts for players to discover. Apart from single-player content, the game will also comprise an online multiplayer component which includes competitive features as well as support for leaderboards.

A drop-in system is on-board for three of the game’s multiplayer modes which are playable with up to 12 people at a time. A number of customization options will be at hand for gamers to choose from. The ATVs and the Buggies will all be customizable. Voice chat and system link have also been confirmed to form part of the Xbox Live version.

Mad Riders 2

Polish developer Techland is well known as the studio behind games like Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, Call of Juarez: The Cartel and Dead Island. The latter title hit consoles and PC in September last year, and has since featured on our lists of the best zombie games for Xbox 360 and top scary PC games. It is available to purchase now with single-player as well as multiplayer components.

The pricing details of Mad Riders haven’t been confirmed by Ubisoft as yet. It will be released through PSN and Xbox Live on May 30.
