The release date of some new Need for Speed Most Wanted DLC has been unveiled by EA, and it is all set to launch in the UK in the form of the Ultimate Speed Pack on December 18. Said to have been infused with five of the ‘fastest cars ever built,’ this add-on will also contain other new additions. While the launch date applies only to the UK region, its North American availability information still isn’t confirmed, although it is being believed that it is slated to come out on the same day.
The five rides that make their way into the Ultimate Speed Pack include the McLaren F1 LM as well as the Lamboghini Aventador J. Moreover, the Pagani Zonda R and the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse will also be comprised in it. And the fifth car among these has been added as a new Most Wanted ride that can be taken down and owned. This is the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder which has a top speed of 275mph.
Besides, the new Need for Speed Most Wanted DLC will also bring with it a total of 25 new events that are spread throughout the city of Fairhaven. These have specially been created so as to push the limits of the new cars, according to EA. Furthermore, there’s some added content for the multiplayer part of the game as well. Over 70 new speed-themed milestones can be earned by all those who purchase this add-on.
This racing title was launched for multiple platforms during the end of October this year. It acts as a reboot to the popular 2005 game of the same name. It has been crafted by Criterion Games, the same developer which is credited to have created a number of titles under the Burnout series. It adopts an open world model for its gameplay, and makes use of the Autolog feature which promotes competition between friends. This trait was first introduced through the developer’s 2010 release, NFS: Hot Pursuit, and was also seen in last year’s NFS: The Run.
The Need for Speed Most Wanted DLC will be made available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in UK on December 18. It will be doled out through PSN and Origin at 7.99 GBP (approx. Rs. 700), and via Xbox Live at 800 Microsoft Points.
