A thrilling new racing experience will apparently be on offer with Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed which was unveiled yesterday by Sega. In the game, Sonic the Hedgehog as well as other Sega characters will be seen competing across land, air and water in vehicles that fully transform from cars, to planes and boats. The transforming vehicles will be designed in order for players to be able to take advantage of the varying terrains. The lineup of characters making their way into the game include the likes of Dr Eggman, AiAi, Gilius Thunderhead of Golden Axe and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia. Like the previous title – Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, the environments and tracks from this one too will be inspired from famous past Sega titles such as Super Monkey Ball and Panzer Dragoon.

David Corless, Global Sonic Brand Director, said, “Given the fantastic feedback we received from critics and consumers alike for the first game we really wanted to push the boundaries on our follow up game, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. The transforming vehicles allow us to do this – as well as drifting your car around the corners of a track, you get to fly your plane and pilot your boat against others all within one race. Add to this a grid full of star characters, retro IP, fun, fast race modes and cool tracks and racing fans of all ages are sure to love this one!”
