Burnout Crash Announced for PSN and Xbox Live

Gamers who have a fixation with blowing-up cars and crashing them have something to look forward to with EA’s recent announcement. Burnout Crash, the latest edition to the Burnout franchise, is expected to hit PSN and Xbox Live networks later this year. Developed by Criterion Games, the title will feature the fan-favorite Crash mode along with an NFS like Autolog.

Keeping its USP alive the game is set to include elements like causing traffic chaos by crashing into cars, triggering explosions and destroying everything in sight. The Autolog technology will allow gamers to compete and compare high scores and ultimately earn the master of disasters crown. The Autolog Challenges will pit players against their friends in head to head races.

“Burnout CRASH is a crazy mix of pinball and game shows,” explained, Richard Franke, Creative Director, Burnout Crash. “We’ve evolved the core gameplay which everyone loved about Crash Mode, and expanded the whole experience using music, style and Autolog to create what we feel is the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform.”

The game will consist of 3 game modes spread across 18 crash junctions in six different locations. Unlockable vehicles, high-value targets and more surprises are apparently in store for gamers who purchase the title. Kinect users will be able to enjoy motion gameplay with two teams using its gestural controls to play on one television in a party battle.

While a definite launch date for Burnout Crash is yet to be declared, the game is expected to be out this fall on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
