Matt Webster from the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit development team, remarked, “Thanks to all the players who helped us track down and identify the problem. We’ll detail exactly when the patch will be available as soon as we can. As I said, it’s likely to be early next week, but we need to go through the testing and certification systems that are in place prior to release.”

The post elaborates that the development team has been receiving reports claiming that the game would crash on Map Screen, Car Select, Loading screen or even as the race was flagged off. This patch will resolve such hassles related to multi-core CPUs as well as fix the missing rain, snow and corona effects. It is also expected to secure Dreamshots in 16:9 aspect ratio while introducing the D-Box motion chair support.

Though no official date has been announced for the release of this patch, it is anticipated to come on board early this week. Some rumors indicate that the patch is already out for enhancing the adrenaline pumping race.
