Blur coming this November, says Activision

Blur is the racing video game from Bizarre Creations which promises to revolutionize the world of racing. Now Activision Publishing has announced that Blur, the slick new racing title, will be coming to retailers worldwide this November. This powered-up racing title is being showcased at Gamescom.

Players collect mind boggling power-ups through the races in the game. Extreme gamers can blast rival cars out of their way using huge energy bursts. There is even a host of additional power-ups including Nitro speed boosts, and the ability to drop mines all over the place. The single player campaign featured in the game is intense with more than 50 licensed cars which can be unlocked. The multiplayer races can take up to 20 players online and up to 4 players on a single machine using the split screen.

The fast curves, underhanded alternate routes, big jumps and extremely realistic damage make Blur the racing title that it is. The unique story driving social network changes much wit the gamer’s progress and the pioneering new community based interface takes the game to the next level. Players can make friends and fans, both in the game and in real life.

Blur from Bizarre Creations is for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game will be available from North American retailers on November 3, 2009 and from European retailers on November 6, 2009. Prices are not known.
