F1 2009 coming for iPhone, iPod Touch next week

Earlier we reported that F1 2009 hit North American retail stores. Now we have word that Codemasters has announced F1 2009 will be releasing soon for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Players will be able to jump into F1 racing cars as Formula One heroes such as Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

F1 2009 features all 10 teams and 20 drivers as well as 17 circuits from around the world from the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship. The game for the iPhone and iPod Touch also features the street circuit of Monaco and the iconic Singapore night race as well as the beautiful Yas Marina circuit in the UAE.

F1 2009 for the iPhone and iPod Touch has two modes, Time Trial and Endurance. In Time Trial you must set the fastest time in the circuit of your choice, while in Endurance you can choose to run either 6, 9 or 12 laps in a bid to set the best average lap time. This is a test of speed and consistency. Players will even be able to upload their flying lap or average lap times to the global AGON Online Social Leaderboard.

F1 2009 for the iPhone and iPod Touch is scheduled to release to the App Store next week. Prices are not known.
