Things On Wheels for XBLA Announced by SouthPeak

There are many racing games on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). Now one more game from the racing genre would be added to the list! SouthPeak Games has sent word that they will be publishing Things On Wheels for the XBLA. The game, which is set in a gigantic house, sees players drive with radio-controlled vehicles.

Melanie Mroz, Chief Executive Officer, SouthPeak Games comments, “We have been looking to move into Xbox LIVE Arcade titles and Load Inc. wanted to do something brand new with the racing genre. This really appealed to us. Competing with real life remote control cars is great fun, so why not do it in a videogame? Things on Wheels will deliver the same wild excitement and as such, is an ideal candidate for us to announce as our first Xbox LIVE Arcade game.”

Things On Wheels features a non-linear track design and includes everyday items as obstacles and hazards. The racing game is expected to have an assortment of wildly entertaining courses. Gamers can expect a championship, which could be won by taking the right path around a set of table legs. The championship can be lost by failing to steer clear of the scorching heat of an electric heater.

Things On Wheels has been developed by Load Inc. The game is expected to be out on the Xbox Live Arcade by the summer of 2008. SouthPeak has previously published games like Monster Madness, The Con and the Iridium Runners. Let’s hope the game is released on the PSN as well as for the PC, as it surely looks great.
