Peggle and Peggle Nights packs hit PSN and XBLA

Peggle is all over the place. It can be espied on the PC, DS, iPods, mobiles and even in the World of Warcraft! Popcap games have now invaded once again the Xbox Live Arcade with Peggle Nights Content Pack. The company also unfurls onto the PlayStation Network with Peggle and the Peggle Nights add-on. The acclaimed Peggle series has been capturing the hearts of gamers right since it debut in 2007. Earlier this year also saw the XBLA release of Peggle complete with a new addition of multiplayer Peg Party mode.

Peggle Peggle Nights

The PlayStation Network version of Peggle offers players the same gameplay action seen in the original PC title. This includes 55 levels, 10 unlockable Peggle Masters, Quick Play mode, Duel mode and 75 Challenge mode levels. There are also two multiplayer options namely four-player Peg Party mode and two-player Duel mode.

The follow up to Peggle, Peggle Nights takes gamers right into the Peggle Masters dream worlds where they can espy five themed levels. Also featured in the title is a new introduction namely the eleventh Peggle Master called Marina. The Peggle Nights add-on provides players with the same challenges and levels as in the PC version. These include 60 levels of Peggle Nights content in the multiplayer modes, Peggle Nights Adventure mode with Nights story and 60 Peggle Nights Challenges.

With these latest game installments, we’re delivering even more features that appeal to diehard enthusiasts with hours of great gameplay, competitive multiplayer experiences and community elements that the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE communities should really enjoy.”

The PSN game also features the trophy room, adventure statistics and three new PlayStation Network trophies. The Peggle and Peggle Nights for PSN include Remote Play capability and XMB support. This lets them stream their own desired music while playing. It also enables them to access Peggle and Peggle Nights on the PSP and PSP go. Through the in-built YouTube, players can upload and share their replay videos of their favorite shots and scores.

The XBLA also features Peggle Nights as premium downloadable content for the already existing Peggle. The title lets players battle friends and foes while having the ability to also engage in Peg Party and Duel modes. Also included into the game are 60 Peggle Nights levels for multiplayer via Xbox Live and all single player/local modes. This version also comprises of the Peggle Nights Adventure mode with the Nights story, 60 Peggle Nights Challenges, the trophy room, adventure statistics and three new Xbox achievements.

Peggle and the Peggle Nights add-on pack can be purchased for $9.99 (approx. Rs.464) and $4.99 (approx. Rs.231) respectively from the PlayStation Store. The XBLA Peggle Nights content pack can be downloaded for 400 Microsoft Points.
