Peggle is an action video game developed by PopCap Games which first released in 2007. Since then, it has gone on to win several awards and has been downloaded more than 50 million times. This casual game’s success led to numerous spin offs on a number of platforms, such that it is also featured as a mini game in the World of Warcraft MMORPG. PopCap Games has now unveiled 10 new World of Warcraft inspired Peggle levels.
The venture will be available as a stand alone version of the highly popular peg popping game and will combine the raw and untamed nature of World of Warcraft with the pleasant and serene settings of Peggle. Splork with his trusty Space Blast and Bjorn the Unicorn will take on the people of Azeroth in 10 completely new levels.
“PopCap first brought Peggle to Azeroth in April 2009 and got a great reception from World of Warcraft players. We were jazzed to team up with Blizzard to make a World of Warcraft-themed version of Peggle that’s available to everyone for free,” stated T. Carl Kwoh, Associate Producer at PopCap Games. Scenes like Too Soon, Executus and The Traitor King along with the Phat Lewtz and Pwnyxia challenges will also do their part to keep fans of both franchises happy for a long time to come.
