Activision Announces How to Train Your Dragon The Game

How to Train Your Dragon is an upcoming computer-animated movie based on the 2003 children’s novel of the same name. The movie is being made by DreamWorks Animation and will release this March. Now Activision announces that it has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to bring an all new adventure game How to Train Your Dragon, based on the movie.

The game will be for the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and the DS, and will allow players to create their own dragons and train them for battle. It is a third-person action-adventure title and has players cast as a Viking hero, either Hiccup or Astrid, as they embark upon a quest to become the ultimate dragon trainer. The game is set on the vast Island of Berk, featuring expanded locations from the movie including Vikings’ Village, Wild Zone, Training Zone and Fight Arena.

How to Train Your Dragon The Game picks up where the movie ends allowing players to explore the beautiful Island of Berk in Adventure Mode or battle it out for the title of ultimate dragon warrior in Arena Mode. The game also features a head-to-head Multiplayer Mode, an Arcade Mode, and loads of mini-games including Flying Sheppard, Ice Sculpting, Looping Race, Memory Torch, and Puzzle Dragon.

How to Train Your Dragon The Game will be made available on March 23, 2010. The game will cost 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,305) for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii and 29.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,385) for the Nintendo DS system.
