It was thought that Overlord was an exclusive for the Xbox 360 and the PC platforms. But now Codemasters has announced Overlord: Raising Hell for the PlayStation 3. The action adventure game will see gamers plunder lands and defeat kingdoms to be declared as the all-powerful Overlord.
Overlord: Raising Hell is set in a warped fantasy world. It takes the gamers deep into the Overlord’s twisted world with a series of supplementary hellish levels. Gamers have to assemble the Minions, who are opportunists by nature. They will be able to gather armies of up to 50 Minions as they travel around and surmount the world’s five domains. The game will feature gameplay refinements like the addition of an on-screen mini-map.
Overlord: Raising Hell for PS3 for the PS3 is being developed by Dutch developer Triumph Studios, the same people who worked on the Xbox 360 and the PC. The game will release for Sony’s next generation console in the summer of 2008. Gamers can expect online co-operative play as well as detailed visuals and a top-spec audio system with 7.1 surround sound.
