Gamers who have been trying really hard to lay their hands on the Dracula hunting Castlevania Chronicles PSone Classic can now loosen up. Castlevania Chronicles is now available as a downloadable PS3 game through the Playstation store for $5.99 (approx. Rs. 285).
Konami released the Castlevania Chronicles for the PS3 last week. When the game was initially released for the PlayStation in 2001, it was exclusive to Japan and had not reached North America. However the game has now joined the PlayStation Network.
As part of Castlevania Chronicles, players mark their presence in the world of Count Dracula who has been resurrected to initiate a reign of terror across the land. As descendant of the legendary vampire hunters, Simon Belmont, it’s up to the players to restore peace in Europe. Gamers are armed with a killer whip to destroy the count and his minions.
Users can take complete advantage of the PS3 download option as Castlevania Chronicles appears in a new version too with enhanced graphics and music. The great news is that the store also boasts of the original version of the game released for Japan. So players can download that too.
From December 18, 2008 onwards, the full game has been available for download through the PlayStation Store.
