Most of the blockbuster game titles that have been released in the last few years will probably end up on the silver screen. Tomb Raider is the famous example. When Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was released for the PS3, many called it a ‘male’ version of Lara Croft’s adventures! So an Uncharted movie should be in the pipeline, right?
Well, it seems so that an Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune film could be on the anvil. Joystiq is reporting that a ‘well-placed source close to the deal’ has told then that the movie rights of the action game have been optioned by Atlas Entertainment. Though Uncharted was much praised for the visuals, it was not well received by the gamers.
SCEA seems to be tight lipped about the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune movie as they have said that they have not made any announcements regarding movie options of the cinematic action-adventure game. It would be nice to see a movie based on Uncharted. So what do you think, if an Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune film is made, who should be cast as Nathan Drake?
