Red Dead Redemption 2 Headed To Nintendo Switch, Suggests Rating

Red Dead Redemption 2

After the original Red Dead Redemption made its way to the Nintendo Switch only a month ago, it’s seemingly time for its successor to hit the same console. This port has just been spotted on the website of the Brazilian ratings board.

First spotted by X user necrolipe, this rating for Red Dead Redemption 2 also details other platforms the game is currently available on, however, there’s no consensus on how long ago it was posted on the website.

Last month, the Nintendo Switch version of the original Red Dead Redemption was released, along with a native PS4 version, which was also missing over all these years. Both versions were strong in the technical department and were well-received by fans.

Unfortunately, the same was not the case with GTA: The Trilogy, a package containing the remastered versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas, which was released in 2021 for multiple platforms, including the Switch.

It received widespread criticism for its buggy nature, unpolished graphics, and poor performance. Rockstar eventually issued refunds to angry gamers, before releasing multiple updates to fix things up. Whenever and if Red Dead Redemption 2 does hit the Nintendo Switch, Rockstar wouldn’t want a repeat of the same.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released only for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One back in 2018. It arrived on PC the following year, while backwards compatibility on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S consoles ensured that it was playable on these platforms right from their launch dates.

That leaves Nintendo Switch as the only big platform on which Red Dead Redemption 2 is not available right now. Let’s wait and watch if and when that changes.
