Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Closed Beta Date Announced

Assassin's Creed Codename Jade

Set in ancient China, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade is the newest entry to the series that’s headed into a closed beta period starting August 3. This free-to-play game will be made available on iOS and Android devices, Ubisoft has confirmed.

Despite being a mobile game, Codename Jade is a full-fledged open-world offering set in the second century BC China, during the Qin dynasty period. It was first announced in September last year.

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade will allow players to create their own character, who happens to be the adopted child of a master named Wei Yu.

As you embark on a quest for revenge after a close friend is betrayed, you start to uncover secrets about “the past and a powerful force that threatens to destroy everything they hold dear,” reads the game’s official blurb.

The open-world setting of Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade will include the Great Wall of China as well as the imperial capital of Xianyang. The story will involve fighting the historic Xiongnu warriors and dismantling conspiracies that could change the world’s fate.

Registrations for the closed beta of this game were thrown open in June and hopefuls can still sign up for participating in it. Ubisoft tells us that the first closed beta will include a “limited” number of randomly selected players in North America and Western Europe.

Those who sign up for this closed beta of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will be asked to answer a questionnaire that will be sent to them between July 17 and July 27. Following that, successful participants will receive their invites from July 27 to July 31, with pre-downloads starting August 1.

Finally, the first Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade closed beta will run from August 3 to August 11.
