Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Announced For Nintendo Switch

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, the packaged trilogy consisting of games from the series that featured Ezio Auditore da Firenze as their protagonist, is all set to be deployed for the Nintendo Switch this February 17. The collection includes three games that were released during the PS3-Xbox 360 era and helped the series reach its popularity.

Ubisoft has made it clear that multiplayer modes will not form part of this pack, which is not a surprise. Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection on the Nintendo Switch will come with short films titled Lineage and Embers that are aimed at completing Ezio’s story.

This trilogy starts with 2009’s Assassin’s Creed II, which introduced the character of Ezio and was set during the height of the Renaissance in Italy. The second entry was Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which was released in 2010 and took the protagonist to Rome.

And then there’s 2011’s Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, in which he traveled to Constantinople. All the DLCs that were launched for the three games subsequent to their releases will be part of the collection as well.

It has been mentioned by Ubisoft that the Switch cartridge of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will only include Assassin’s Creed II. The rest of the games will come as part of a 35GB download.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, set during the Viking expansions into the British Isles, was last entry to the massive series. It came out in 2020 and has since received two big expansions. And just last year, a game codenamed Assassin’s Creed Infinity was announced that will be an online live-service offering on the lines of GTA Online.

As we said, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will hit the Nintendo Switch on February 17.
