Through a post on the official Star Wars site, the makers said, “Coming this summer, we’re excited to announce the next-gen release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, bringing a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of the game. This will be a free cross-generation upgrade to current owners. More details will come soon.”

From similar updates that have made their way to other games, we can guess that the native next-gen versions of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will offer improved resolutions and framerates. Plus, ray tracing and enhanced graphics could also make their way into the much-loved game.

The latest Star Wars game is set five years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. Its story follows Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis who is being hunted by protégés of Darth Vader as part of the Imperial Inquisitors program. Titanfall and Apex Legends makers Respawn Entertainment were responsible for the development of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
