GTA 6 Could Come In 2025 With Modern Setting And Vice City Map

GTA Online One more month, one more round of GTA 6 leaks and speculations. This time around, they have come from the reliable Tom Henderson, who has said on his YouTube channel that the game won’t be out until 2024 or 2025. Moreover, he has also mentioned that the new GTA will feature an evolving map system, much like the one on Fortnite.

This delay in the release is apparently due to two main reasons. One of them is that Rockstar Games wishes to focus on employee wellbeing in times when conversation about crunch hours is getting really heated. Another is that since GTA 6 is only meant for current-gen consoles and PC, the makers want as many of those machines as possible to be available in the market.

Rumors about GTA 6 being set in the 1980s have been rubbished by Henderson, saying that the game will indeed have a modern setting since it won’t restrict developers from offering relevant content in GTA Online. GTA V’s online component has earned billions of dollars and continues to do so even today, so it’s safe to say that the new game’s online component will also be really important for them.

In his video, Henderson says that Vice City will indeed form part of GTA 6’s large map. He has even corroborated that multiple playable characters will be coming to the game this time around as well, with one of them expected to be female.

With GTA 6 not expected until at least 2024, it makes sense for Rockstar to keep pushing GTA Online, which it has been doing with gusto the last few years. What also seems understandable is GTA V’s jump onto as many platforms as possible, even as it now prepares for a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release this November.
