Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape brings its sci-fi battle royale fun to consoles this August

Hyper Scape

Hyper Space, the sci-fi battle royale game from Ubisoft, is all set to make its way to the PS4 and the Xbox One on August 11. PC players have been enjoying it as an open beta for quite some time now, but they’ll be facing a blackout from August 2 until the console release date when it’ll again be made available for them in its full form. Your progression, including any items you unlocked during the beta, will be yours to keep, even if you chose to get the game on consoles, thanks to a cross-progression feature.

The game will launch with Season 1, which is called ‘The First Principle.’ This season will introduce limited-time modes, along with a new weapon named Dragonfly and an ability named Magnet. Season 1 will also bring with it a 100-tier Battle Pass, that’ll kick in a free track and a premium track costing 950 Bitcrowns. Bitcrowns by the way, are the game’s virtual currency that can either be earned or be bought with real money.

Hyper Scape, not surprisingly, is a free-to-play game. It takes place in the virtual city of Neo Arcadia where up to 100 players can face off in a battle for dominance. As is the case with such games, you can either choose to go solo or form squads of three players. If you watch a stream of the game for at least an hour on Twitch, with its Crowncast extension enabled before August 2, you’ll get 600 Bitcrowns for free. Plus, if you donate Twitch Bits to a Hyper Scape streamer, you can generate a visual effect in-game when they use it.

As we said, Hyper Space will get a full release on the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on August 11.
