ZombiU remake for PS4, Xbox One and PC announced as Zombi

Ubisoft has officially announced its decision to port the Wii U exclusive ZombiU onto other platforms and has renamed it Zombi in order to cut its ties with Nintendo’s console. This game is all set to hit the PS4, the Xbox One and PC on August 18 which is not too far away from now.

Zombi will of course ship with a large number of changes over the original offering. Some of this game’s features were specially tailored for the Wii U’s GamePad, but they have been moved to the main screen in this new version.

For those worried about this resulting in an overall lack of immersion, the developers have made it known that the HUD completely disappears from the screen when not required. Zombi’s control mapping and response aspects have also been altered by its makers, while they have now expanded the range of melee weapons from just a cricket bat to a shovel and a nail bat.

With the PS4 and the Xbox One possessing top-notch hardware, Zombi is bound to perform exquisitely well on these consoles. And there’s no doubt that it will bode well with well equipped PCs as well.
