Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition offers all DLC packs

A sort of a GOTY Edition is what the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition is. This newly announced retail-only bundle comes equipped with a copy of the game and all its main DLC packs, but will be made available only for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, and that too, only in Europe. It has been marked for a March 28 release date.

Jackdaw Edition

The Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition comprises of content like the Death Vessel Pack, the Kraken Ship Pack, the Crusader and Florentine Pack and the Illustrious Pirates Pack. Moreover, it also offers multiplayer goodies in the form of the Blackbeard’s Wrath Pack and the Guild of Rogues Pack. And then of course, there’s the Freedom Cry DLC pack offering nine missions’ worth of single-player content that lets you play as the protagonist’s first mate, Adewale.

So far, the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition has only been announced for Europe, and Ubisoft is mum on whether North American territories will get this bundle or not in the future at least. There’s no word as to why the company has stayed away from releasing it for platforms other than the three it’s being launched for. In October last year, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U as well, apart from the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

But now, as Ubisoft rounds things up with the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition, it’s time we start looking forward to this year’s entry to the massive series. We don’t know whether the new game will go for the same setting or adopt a new one? Or will it only be a next-gen offering or will it land on old platforms as well? These and many more questions should definitely be answered within the next few weeks, as the company usually prefers unveiling its games early in the year.
