Watch Dogs now has another release date, will Ubisoft stick to it this time?

What was supposed to be a next-gen launch game was delayed just four weeks prior to its release date, and it appears now that Watch Dogs is again is ready to be doled out. Ubisoft has announced that the open world action-adventure title will be launched for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on May 27 this year, whereas its release for the Wii U will take place sometime later.

This date for Watch Dogs was revealed by the publisher through a new trailer which can be spotted in the space below. Unveiled at 2012’s E3, the game was earlier supposed to come out in November 19, just in time for the launch of Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen consoles. But it was suddenly delayed without Ubisoft having given any reason.

The company has now granted Watch Dogs yet another release date, and with it, some bundles for the title have also been announced. It will be sold along with both the PS3 and the PS4 in Europe, and will contain 60 minutes’ worth of additional gameplay that’s exclusive to these PlayStation consoles. Under development from Ubisoft Montreal, this game takes place in a futuristic rendition of Chicago, and throws gamers into the shoes of Aiden Pearce, a highly skilled hacker with a mission.

So far, all the trailers which have been released for Watch Dogs have looked exciting, with the game having raised many eyebrows since its debut. The wait until May 27 is hence not going to be a pleasant one.
