Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes says Kojima

If your excitement regarding Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was getting mellowed down for some reason, here’s something that’ll skyrocket it high again. This upcoming offering from gaming genius Hideo Kojima and his team will be 200 times larger than its upcoming Ground Zeroes precursor which has been aimed by the developers at familiarizing gamers with the elements that’ll be introduced by the final game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

At a recent group interview in Japan (attended by Eurogamer), Hideo himself gave out this piece of information to the press. The actual size of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can only be got an idea of once we play MGS V: Ground Zeroes, but judging by the ‘200 times’ statement, it definitely has to be enormous. There is some amount of controversy surrounding Ground Zeroes right now as well. Some believe that a title that’s being released as a demo of the actual game shouldn’t be priced as high as it is.

It will act as a prologue to The Phantom Pain, and will showcase the capabilities of the new Fox Engine among other things.

While Ground Zeroes will be arriving this month itself, there’s no word as to when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be released.
