Tomb Raider DLC

This first piece of Tomb Raider DLC, called the Caves & Cliffs pack, will come equipped with a total of three additional maps for the title’s multiplayer component. All of these new maps have been confirmed to be compatible with each of the game modes that are present within the title. These include Rescue, Cry for Help, Team Deathmatch and Free for All.

First among the maps is Scavenger Caverns, and has been described as an ”˜extensive subterranean network of caves’ that is utilized by scavengers present on the title’s remote island as an underground prison. Second in line is Cliff Shantytown which is a scavenger settlement created on high up on the island’s cliffs. Crystal Dynamics has mentioned that this map features many layers that are home to deadly traps.

The last map to form part of this pack is dubbed The Burning Village. It has been set in an abandoned Japanese village which is hit by a major fire. Burning buildings can be spotted in this one, filled with multiple ways to escape or engage enemies. All these locations are based on those encountered by gamers during the title’s single-player campaign.

Launched for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 5, this title has proved to be quite a hit among critics and gamers alike. It acts as a reboot to the popular franchise, trying to explore the origins of the famous Lara Croft character. It has players chronicling her journey after a shipwreck lands her and her fellow survivors on a dangerous island.
