Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Brings Operation Raptor Challenge This Weekend

This weekend is geared up to proffer Mass Effect 3 multiplayer gamers with all new bonuses through the new Operation Raptor challenge. The event however, will only be made available to Xbox 360 and PC gamers. BioWare has said on its official blog that it is still ”˜continuing to work with Sony’ in order to bring such features to the PS3, and details regarding the same can be revealed later this week.

Players will be required to promote two of their characters to their single player campaigns, a feat which would reward them with Commendation Packs. Moreover, if players from all over the world promote 150,000 characters in total, Victory Packs will be doled out to all of them. These packs will be made available to download in the following week. Gamers wishing to participate must note that they should set the ”˜Upload Gameplay Feedback’ option to ”˜On’ before starting.

“Join the war against the Reapers online between 5 p.m. PST Friday, March 30th to 5 a.m. PST Monday, April 2nd and promote at least 2 characters to your single player campaign.This operation includes PC and Xbox 360; we are continuing to work with Sony to enable these types of Operations on the PlayStation 3 platform. We appreciate your patience, and we expect an update later this week regarding Operation Raptor and the PlayStation 3,” Eduardo Vasconcellos, Community Manager at EA, wrote on the blog.

ME3 was released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 9, 2012, and has since been garnering rave reviews for its offerings. This final chapter in the much loved franchise now sells at a price of 59.99 USD (approx. Rs. 3,045), and its Collector’s Edition copies are priced at 99.99 USD (approx. Rs. 5,080).

The Mass Effect 3 multiplayer Operation Raptor Challenge will commence tomorrow at 5 p.m. PST and will go on till 5 a.m. PST on April 2.
