Edge of Twilight now coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, iOS spin-off announced

Edge of Twilight, the action-adventure game from Fuzzyeyes which has been delayed for far too long, has finally been granted a release window. It will be launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 during the summer of 2013. And although the game was initially supposed to hit PC, no information regarding its existence for the said platform has come to the fore as of yet. Besides the actual title, a spin-off to it is also gearing up to arrive on the App Store for free.

Edge of Twilight

Edge of Twilight features a steampunk universe and a fantasy story. It was announced for the first time way back in 2008. However, major layoffs at the developer’s office in 2009 resulted in it being stalled. But the game has now managed to resurface, with the makers having announced that it will indeed be making its way to consoles by the summer of 2013. Currently, only single-player offerings have been revealed to form part of it.

The world in which the game will be set has a unique attribute. There, night and day exist as separate dominions. And its events will revolve around a character named Lex who – being a half-breed – possesses the ability to bridge the gap between the realms of darkness and light. He has been described in the past as an amoral bounty hunter and an outcast from the two opposing societies of day and night.

Moreover, the existence of a mobile spin-of for the game has also been disclosed by the developer. Affixed with the subtitle, Horizon, this title will enable players to step into the shoes of Night Lex, and will center around his attempts to utilize his speed and wits in order to outsmart an important enemy that is supposed to appear in the console version. This free application will also allow gamers access to production news, trailers, screenshots and other media of the main title as and when they get released.

A definite launch date for Edge of Twilight is still to be revealed by its publisher. Gamers interested in it can look forward to the summer of 2013 when it’s slated to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360.
