Max Payne 3 Multiplayer Crews will Carry Over to Grand Theft Auto V

Making multiplayer deeper and richer is the ultimate aim which has prompted Rockstar Games to create a system which would allow gamers to port their multiplayer crews from Max Payne 3 to Grand Theft Auto V. These are basically a team of multiplayer characters who can be used by players to join large public crews or simply create a private crew for them to customize.

In an interview with IGN, Rockstar Games has revealed that this trait will be made possible by the Social Club functionally which will also keep track of crew stats in these two titles as well as other future offerings. For Grand Theft Auto V, the crews created by gamers in Max Payne 3 will be available from day one.

“The beauty of this system is that crews persist over time and across future games Multiplayer is an ever-more important part of all our games moving forward. And by creating crews through Social Club, the crews that you create in Max Payne 3 will be ready and available for you to play in Grand Theft Auto V from day one. It’s all part of our larger approach to make multiplayer deeper and richer than what’s currently available, much more easily accessible to the newcomer and rewarding for the hardcore,” Rockstar Games co-founder, Dan Houser, told the website.

A new feature called Feuds has also been detailed by Dan. These are basically spontaneous scuffles between crews which can spring up in multiplayer matches. It has gamers fighting with opposing gangs who’ve killed someone on their own crew.

Max Payne 3 will be outed for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on May 15, 2012, but there’s still no word out about the release date of Grand Theft Auto V.
