The Asura’s Wrath demo has finally surfaced and is available to download now via PSN and Xbox Live. Gamers will be able to catch a glimpse of the title’s enemies through the two episodes that will form a part of this demo. Developed by CyberConnect2 and Capcom, this game is slated to come for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 21, 2012.
This offering is being claimed by its developers to introduce an all new style of the action genre. Gamers will play as Asura and control him throughout a combination of action and cinematic sequences. The two enemies who’ll be making their way into this demo are named Wyzen and Augus. While the former is a planetary sized boss, the latter is Asura’s old mentor who has embarked upon a journey for revenge against each of the eight deities who betrayed him 12,000 years ago.
One of the gameplay features that will be exhibited by this demo is Asura’s ‘Burst Gauge.’ As players will carry out a range attacks and close quarter assaults, this gauge will fill, and in turn it will allow Asura to unleash a special power which would enable him to go in with force upon his enemies. Moreover, cinematic sequences which feature quick time events have also been confirmed to be a part of this game.
The narrative Asura’s Wrath revolves around its protagonist who was once a revered general of all the gods that defeated an enemy known as the Gohma. But suddenly, the Emperor gets murdered and it is Asura on whom the blame falls. After escaping the Emperor’s army, he realizes that his family has been kidnapped and this forces him to ventures upon a dangerous quest to save his beloved.
