To start things off, the game still remains the third person shooter four-player co-op title that it was. Its story revolves around a volatile energy source which has fallen into the hands of a terrorist organization known as Raven. A team called Overstrike 9 is out to track it down and stop its misuse. Gamers will be able to play with three of their friends, with each character having a special Fuse-powered weapon. For those playing in single-player mode, a LEAP feature has been crafted. This will enable them to instantly switch between any available character depending upon the situation.

As Jacob Kimble, you can keep enemies at a distance with the Arc Shot and shoot out charged bolts that chain react and fry enemies. Insomniac Games has also mentioned that along with special Fuse weapons, conventional arms will also form part of the title. Progressing within the game will allow players to earn points which will be usable for upgrading weapons and character abilities. Since it’s a co-op-based title, more points will be earned by executing cooperative kills in campaign as well as in another secret mode which will be revealed later on.

Fuse, the reworked version of Overstrike, will be out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in March 2013.
