Resident Evil 6 multiplayer DLC plans Unveiled

Through all the content that we’ve seen till date, it’s utterly clear that Resident Evil 6 will indeed have a massive campaign experience in its store. But Capcom isn’t stopping at that, as the developer has revealed plans for post-launch DLC packs that will infuse the game’s multiplayer with fresh modes. While these will be released later on, the Mercenaries mode which we’ve seen in RE4 and RE5 will be available from the beginning.

First among the three announced multiplayer modes has been revealed to be the Survivors mode. It is claimed introduce a twist to the classic solo and team-based versus mode. Once players get killed they will respawn as enemy characters, and will need to kill two human characters in order to gain back their form. The last man or team standing will win.

Next is the Predator mode which asks one player to step into the shoes of the Ustanak, a fearsome B.O.W. that trails Jake Muller throughout his campaign. His/her job is to kill the human players, and the task at hand of other players (humans) is to stop the B.O.W. in its tracks, or survive until the session comes to an end.

The third new mode for Resident Evil 6 is called the Siege mode, and it will have gamers protecting a single NPC, whereas players from the other team will be asked to take down the same NPC. By the end of the match, if the NPC is kept alive, the human team wins, and if not, the others win. It has also been disclosed by Capcom that all the maps from the Mercenaries mode will be available to use in these three modes which will each support up to six players online
