LEGO The Lord of The Rings Coming This Fall

The entire LOTR trilogy will be comprised within LEGO The Lord of The Rings which is planned to hit multiple platforms during this fall. Like other LEGO video games, this one too will have its focus set on cooperative play, allowing pairs to jump into the plastic boots of LEGO minifigures as they experience dangerous situations, solve riddles and battle many foes on their journey to Mount Doom.

The game will be based on the film trilogy which kicks in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It would be developed by TT Games, and will complement a recently released LOTR toy collection by LEGO which includes seven construction sets.

We’ve taken what fans are familiar with and love about The Lord of the Rings films and combined it with the playful LEGO style, which makes the story and gameplay accessible to gamers of all ages,” shared Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games.

Gamers will be able assume the roles of a number of favorite characters from the series. These include Frodo the Hobbit, Aragorn the Ranger, Gandalf the Wizard, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a Man of Gondor and Frodo’s Hobbit friends Sam, Merry and Pippin. Important events from all three films have been confirmed to form part of the title.
