What do Gears of War 3 and Batman: Arkham City have in common? Apart from the fact that both high-profile titles have their releases lined-up in coming months, the two are all set to feature 3D support. Gamers who possess with them a 3D HDTV can enjoy the title in stereoscopic 3D via their PS3 and Xbox 360 systems with the help of active shutter glasses. GeForce GPU-equipped desktop or notebook PCs and compatible 3DTVs would also be able to render the game in stereoscopic 3D using the Nvidia 3D Vision technology.

But what about gamers who don’t own the above mentioned assortments? Anaglyphic 3D has come to their rescue! Yes, the blue and red glasses still find a way to be useful. HDTVs will present Batman: Arkham City in anaglyphic 3D.

Developed by Rocksteady, this action-adventure stealth title is slated to release in October. It is a sequel to the much-appreciated Batman: Arkham Asylum. This new game will take place in Arkham City, a world which is touted to be five times larger than the one in Arkham Asylum.

Fans who wish to purchase the game can look forward to what is being hailed as an ‘all-star cast of classic characters and murderous villains from the Batman universe.’ New gameplay features are also expected to be included in this new edition.
