Tecmo Koei is scheduled to unleash Dynasty Warriors Next for the PlayStation Vita system on February 22, 2012. The upcoming title, developed by Omega Force is set to bring fans as well as new-comers to the series an action-packed offering. As observed in earlier installments, the latest dimension to the acclaimed franchise also transports players to ancient China where they take on the roles of brave generals in order to defeat a slew of foes in on-field combat.
The tactical action title exploits the various features and functions of the portable console such as motion sensor, rear touch panel, multi-touch screen and touch pad for indulging in intense battle sequences. The new ‘Speed Musou’ and ‘Direct Break’ can be accessed by executing simple touch or shake gestures. This makes it easier to capture bases and deliver powerful attacks while in the presence of the enemy.
During gameplay, PS Vita owners can access the map and direct their subordinates with ‘Straight Commands’, all with a touch of the system screen. The game is further packed with realistic duels, impressive visual effects and various special missions. All these attributes are claimed to be wrapped up in one immersive and cinematic experience. Players can even connect with others across the globe as well as utilize GPS-related positioning.
The multiplayer modes include the new 4 player ad-hoc ‘Coalition Mode’, PlayStation Vita’s Live Area and ‘Conquest Mode’ that supports 3G and Wi-Fi. Gamers can also expect the ‘Edit Mode’ to return with this iteration, allowing them to personalize their own individual warriors. The company endows fans with over 65 playable characters to dish out some serious damage.
Dynasty Warriors Next for PS Vita is slated to release on February 22, 2012. The price of the game has not yet been revealed by the company.
