Resident Evil 5 offered us a completely different setting and a new kind of zombie. Last month we heard of the game’s first DLC hitting the PSN and Xbox Live. Now Capcom sends word that the second downloadable episode for Resident Evil 5 titled ‘Desperate Escape’ is available on the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
The second downloadable episode sees Jill Valentine team up with Josh Stone. Jill is freed from a mind control device by Josh Stone and the both of them must work together to escape from the Tricell facility under the cover of nightfall. Jill and Josh race to assist Chris and Sheva in their ultimate showdown with Albert Wesker.
There are also new costumes available in the Costume Pack 2 including Chris Redfield’s ‘Heavy Metal’ costume and Sheva Alomar’s new ‘Business’ outfit. If you download the ‘Desperate Escape’ episode you’ll get the characters Rebecca Chambers and Josh Stone, while if you download the Costume Pack 2 you’ll get the characters Chris and Sheva. These additional characters are playable in the brand new Mercenaries Reunion.
The downloadable episode Desperate Escape is available for 400 Microsoft Points or 4.99 USD (approx. Rs. 230) while the Costume Pack 2 is available for 160 Microsoft Points or 1.99 USD (approx. Rs. 90).
The Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be made available on March 9, 2010 and will contain the game plus all the released downloadable content for a price of just 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,290). It will be available as a single Blu-ray disc for the PS3, while the Xbox 360 version will include the game disc and a token for all the downloadable content.
