First Game Add-on for Alan Wake Included with Every New Purchase

Recently a live-action film prequel to Alan Wake, Microsoft’s action thriller, was revealed. Now Microsoft Game Studios has announced that all new purchases of the standard or limited Collector’s Edition of Alan Wake will come with a token code card to download the first game add-on at no extra cost.

Those who buy either the standard edition or the limited Collector’s Edition of the game can redeem the code to obtain the downloadable add-on only on Xbox Live when it becomes available later in the year. There is also an online ‘Alan Wake’ store which will have fan products including apparel, accessories, posters and the must-have Alan Wake flashlight.

The first two episodes of the live-action prequel Bright Falls are available and a new episode will be released every week, leading up to the final two episodes which will be released on May 17, 2010. Pre-ordering the game from participating retailers will get you the Bright Falls Bonus Pack.

Alan Wake is scheduled to arrive in Europe on May14, 2010, in the Americas on May 18, 2010 and in Japan on May 27, 2010.
