It has been almost a year ago now since we reported that Namco was looking to revitalize the Dead to Rights franchise. The 2002 Dead to Rights game featured police officer Jack Slate and his canine companion Shadow who can be commanded to attack enemies. Now Eurogamer is reporting that Dead to Rights: Retribution for the PS3 and Xbox 360 has been dated and is coming in April.
Dead to Rights: Retribution is a re-imagining of the 2002 third person action game. Also, North American fans will have a host of pre-order bonuses coming their way depending on which retailer they pre-order from. One in-game pre-order bonus apparently features MadWorld-style ‘noir mode’ graphics and dog camouflage. But there is no word on any European pre-order bonuses.
Dead to Rights: Retribution is scheduled for an April 13, 2010 release in North America and an April 16, 2010 release across Europe. The game will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, but prices have yet to be confirmed.
