Lost Planet 2 Co-op Demo Touches Down on the PSN

Lost Planet 2 is the much awaited sequel to 2007’s Lost Planet set in the icy environments of fictional planet E.D.N. III. Earlier we reported that Brian Keltner, PR Manager at Capcom said that the Lost Planet 2 demo would be coming to the PSN this week. Now we have word that the Lost Planet 2 Co-op demo has official arrived on the PSN for all PS3 fans.

In the demo, three playable missions in the lush jungles of E.D.N. III are featured for a squad of four. Players must collect the thermal energy contained within the bodies of the Akrid, utilizing the entire arsenal of weapons at their disposal. They encounter Akrid of all sizes and ultimately battle the gigantic Category G Akrid.

The demo itself provides a small sample of what the game has to offer, and players will be able to try out the weapons, and the mechanized Vital Suits. The game is built on the MT Framework 2.0 engine, Capcom’s latest proprietary 3D game engine.

The Lost Planet 2 demo was earlier available to Xbox 360 owners, and is now available to PS3 users via the PlayStation Network.
