Namco Bandai Reveals Inversion for PS3, Xbox 360 for 2010

Namco Bandai Games Europe has announced Inversion for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and is set to release the gravity-challenging title in 2010. The game boasts of a storyline full of suspense and takes players on a journey complete with nonstop firefights. Inversion also features gravity-wielding combat sequences, vector changes, zero gravity environments and a destructible cover system.

“Inversion will turn the shooter genre upside down, literally,” exclaimed Todd Thorson, director of marketing and public relations, Namco Bandai Games America. “Saber Interactive’s innovative gravity manipulation feature will blow away any preconceptions of what a contemporary shooter should be.”

We can’t wait to get Inversion in the hands of gamers across the world.”

Inversion is a third person co-op shooter which mixes adrenaline-filled action in with a revolutionary gravity manipulation engine. With the Grappler weapon players will be able to maneuver massive objects as they see fit. The Grappler can also act as a tool to solve various types of puzzles. The game features the Havok Destruction engine allowing for extreme destructibility.

Inversion is set in the near future. Mankind’s peace is shattered when an enemy called the Lutadore invades. The enemy is armed with futuristic gravity-controlling weapons and the invasion has thrown the gravity off balance in random regions. As Davis Russel, players will make their way through the war-ravaged gravity-twisted streets of their home town and beyond.
