Fans of Saints Row 2 checking repeatedly whether the downloadable content for the game has gone online are in for a rather pleasant let-down. Sounds strange? Here’s why! On the one hand the game’s official website reveals that the Saints Row 2 DLC will be released exactly one week later than previously scheduled, which can be a bummer. But on the other hand there will be more content added.
The first DLC pack for Saints Row 2 was scheduled for release today, April 16, 2009. But now the new release date that has been set is April 23, 2009. And the DLC will now contain “additional clothing options”. The first downloadable content for the game also has new vehicles, new missions, multiplayer options and co-op.
The four new multiplayer maps featured in the DLC pack are Downtown, Stilwater Prison, Trailer Park and Warehouse. Trailer Park and Downtown are new additions to Strong Arm, whereas Stilwater Prison and Warehouse will be available for Gangsta Brawl and Team Gangsta Brawl. Nothing regarding pricing has been revealed on the game’s official website.
