Of late, there has been a lot of gossip regarding the release date of Bionic Commando. Capcom has confirmed that Bionic Commando will be available for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 in May of 2009 with the PC version releasing a few moths after that.
Bionic Commando sees the return of Nathan Spencer whose voice is lent by former ‘Faith No More’ lead vocalist Mike Patton. Nathan Spencer, deceived by the very people whom he has served is framed and sentenced to be executed.
But the Gods have other plans for ‘Rad’ Spencer as an experimental terrorist weapon is detonated in Ascension City on the very day of his execution. In distress, not knowing what else to do, the government is forced to turn to Spencer, the unique symbiosis bet man and machine to help them.
The bionic arm and swing mechanism come in handy in facing off against enemies. The bionic arm can also be used to pound on enemies when they get too close. Players can knock down enemies by hurling cars and other items in the environment towards them.
Bionic Commando is being developed and published by Capcom in collaboration with Swedish developer GRIN known for developing the game ‘Ballistics’. The game is run on the Grin ‘Diesel’ Engine.
