Deadpool is Marvel Comic’s mercenary known for his wisecracks and satirical pop-culture references. Now it seems that the developer behind the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game, Raven Software has shared a deep desire to make Deadpool into a game.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine has just hit stores and UGO asked Dan Vondrak, the game’s project lead, which character the team would like to focus on next, if given the opportunity. Vondrak replied, “That’s very easy, that’d be Deadpool. We’re huge fans of Deadpool. When we made X-Men 2, we made sure to put Deadpool in there and give him plenty of little Easter eggs and conversations. We love the character. His smartass attitude. So that’d be the guy we’d probably go after.”
Apparently, Deadpool was not portrayed to the full extent of his ”˜Merc with a Mouth’ character in the recent X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie and Vondrak says that if they actually take up the venture of making a Deadpool game, it will be on the lines of the comic book character and his dark humor.
