A few weeks ago, we had reported that Replay Studios had announced that they were changing the name of their stealth game to Velvet Assassin, which would be out on PC and next-gen consoles. Now publishers Gamecock Media Group has announced that Velvet Assassin would be out on the Xbox 360 and Windows-based PC.
Sascha Jungnickel, Creative Director, Replay Studios commented, “This is a project we’ve been incredibly excited about from the start. Velvet Assassin is going to be an amazing experience both in its visual style and gameplay; it will be awesome to get it to such a massive audience.”
Velvet Assassin is set in WWII and its story has been inspired by real-life British secret agent Violette Szabo. It is being developed by Replay Studios. The stealth-action game is expected to be out in the fall season of 2008. It will feature lush and surreal visuals along with an innovative stealth combat system.
