Last month, we had reported that Gary Oldman had revealed details about the Dark Knight game, but that was based on the movie. Now Game Informer has revealed that a new Batman game is in the pipeline. Called as Batman: Arkham Asylum, it will be based be inspired from the DC Comics.
So what exactly can gamers expect from Batman: Arkham Asylum? Well, according to the magazine, this Batman game will be dark, something akin to BioShock as it explores infamous Arkham Asylum, which is one of the most infamous locations in Gotham City. Paul Dini has co-written the story which sees a normal prison transfer go wrong and Batman take on an army of his worst enemies.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is being developed by Rocksteady Studios. The action game will be published by Eidos Interactive. No information about the release date of the game was given but it will be out some time next year on the PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC platforms.
